Mission:
Giving School Aid (uniforms, shoes, bags, and school stationaries) to 51 students from SD 1 - 4 Bontihing, Supported by Rotary Club Gawler Light, Melbourne.

The kids of SD 1, 2 and 4 managed to get most of their classmates to come to SD 1 to receive the aid. All gifts were packed neatly in a box covered with brown paper with each student's name on top of the gift. The teachers nicely helped us to gather all the kids in 1 mini class room. It was a hot sunny Saturday that everyone was sweating and you could smell everyone's body odor like strong sweet incense. P. Ketut Atmajaya, PP. Made Sukada and I took turn to give the gifts to the kids and took picture of each action.

The kids were all smiling and happy and thanked us for the gifts. I had some chocolates from different countries that I brought with me, to share with both the kids and the teachers.

We were all laughing. One teacher wasn't happy (eventhough she got more than one chocolate) because she wanted to get help personally as well. Bad idea...

We noticed that SD 1, 2, and 4 have already got power/electricity in the schools. They also have water running freely subsidied by the government. The toilets also have running water. The teachers have been using the computer given to them by Rotary.

I saw these people need running water the most. Some of them have small pipe (approximately 2.5 CM in diameter) running from the hill to their homes, hanging freely on the road, making it an unusual view. I think Veny will have lots to do here since she's appointed the project manager for the water project in Bontihing. P. Ketut Atmajaya will explain further to her.
